This is taking the urban mini-farm one step too far. Looks like a swarm of bees are trying to make a hive in the magnolia tree, which is really more like a magnolia twig, that's only a few metres from our back door.
"We need to find a Bee Man", was The Husband's not-particularly-helpful advice. In the meantime, I'll be scouring markets this weekend for three human and one cat shaped set of bee-protection overalls. Smoke guns optional.

Ooh ,you're going to have to bee very careful!This is a difficult one though isn't it?Bees are such important creatures,and their numbers have gone down so much....you don't want to destroy them.
ReplyDeleteBut with them living so close, you've got to protect yourselves.This happened to a friend of mine...she contacted a local bee society (she googled them) and someone from the group came and fetched the hive to add their own.free of charge.Worth a try?
